The Social Security death index (http://ssdi.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi) has Ida Broyles, b. 2 Mar 1887, d. May 1975 at Peebles, Adams Co., Ohio. This sounds like a good match to your g-grandmother. Her death certificate, if you can get a copy, may have some useful information. There are two Homer Broyles from Ohio. One was born 19 Apr 1914 and died in Apr 1971. Would this be your father? This suggests that Oliver Pierre Broyles was born c. 1885, perhaps in Ohio. (I couldn't find him in the SSDI as Oliver, O, Pierre, or Ollie). This probably means he died prior to 1962. My grandfather Homer Broyles would have been born in around 1915 to 1920 which could make it possible that his father was born in 1856 but it is a stretch. That would have made him 60 to 65 when my grandfather was born. As far as I know my grandfather has always lived in Ohio. I do remember my Great Grandmother living in Pebbles OH but I'm not sure if she was on the Broyles side or not. I'll have to see if my Mom knows.
