I will send you the info in this note to you. I have quite a bit of information on the Broyles also, but I am sure you probably already have it but I would like to swap what I have. If you are staying at your daughters you won't need much of the Motel information. Do you play golf? As you see at the bottom of the letter we are having a Lotspeich descendant Golf Classic. Let me know if you or yours want to play. Am looking forward to hearing from you again and to meet you in Greeneville. Dear Cousins, Plans have finally been completed for the 2000 Lotspeich Gathering! The official meeting place will be the Holiday Inn, 1790 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy., Greenville, TN 37745, 423-639-4185. They have given us a reduced room rate of $58.50 per room (King size bed or Twin beds) max. of 4 people. We will be using their meeting rooms part of the time. Of course you can stay where ever and enclosed is a listing of Motels, Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts Inns and R.V. camps. Registration for the Gathering will be at the Holiday Inn on Friday, June 16. For those of you who get there early, Greenville is full of history, Home of Andrew Jackson, Davy Crocket to name a couple. It has many old plantation houses that may be toured. You can do a driving tour or a walking tour. It is suggested that these tours be taken on Friday since most of the houses are closed on Saturday. There are several cemeteries where Lotspeichs are buried and I plan to have a map showing where John Christopher lived. If you want to check out your family history or compare notes with other family members who have worked on the wonderful history of the Lotspeichs and their descendants there will be a place for us at the Holiday Inn most of the day Friday. Friday evening about 6:30 we will meet at the Holiday Inn for the evening meal to be catered by the Inn. This will be a good time to get to know some of your new found cousins and find out where everyone is staying. Saturday will be a fun day at the City Park. There will be games for the children, swimming and what ever. We have some of our own who will entertain us with music, jokes and family stories. If you have a craft or hobby that you would like to share, please bring it. If you have other talents and want to help let us know. The Lotspeich Golf Classic will also be held Saturday. More information as to where and tee time will come in a later letter If you can't come until Saturday meet us at the park. Saturday evening we can gather back at the Inn after dinner for more quality time together. The place has not been determined yet, but Sunday morning 9:00 we will have a non-denominational devotional service and say our good-byes. It was advertised that there would be some Civil War Reenactors present, unfortunately they will not be able to attend. For those of you that want to fly their are two airports close to Greeneville, Tri Cities Airport at Jonesboro, TN is 30 miles away and Knoxville, TN is 60 miles. I want to thank each of you that has returned your forms. And I would ask those of you would are coming to fill out and return yours as soon as possible so that we can put the final touches to a wonderful weekend. Respectfully, Cuz Bob --------------7D1930F85D5--
