Here is what I know of my gr.gr.grandmothers line. Her name is Priscilla Broyles, born in 1847 in Linn County, MO next door to Sullivan, Daughter of Christopher Broyles and Elizabeth Blankenbaker, who were from Mercer county Kentucky. She married John Henry Cotter in 1867. Apparently her family was all German, but my Great Grandad, who I knew growing up inOklahoma, was definitely part Indian, stated to our family that his mother Priscilla was Native American, so here is a little mystery eh? What do you know about these folks? We have pictures of her and my Grandma has a picture of her brother a Nelson Broyles who is wearing what looks like, one of those G.A.R. veteran ribbons in the photo. Were they farmers in northern Missouri? What about their roots in Kentucky? Perhaps her mother had a Native mailman! Anyway, I appreciate the connections and hope to hear from you again. Lynn Swadley
