Seeking information on Susan(nah) Broyles who married Elisha Humphreys in April 1788 in Washington/Carter Co. TN. She was my GGG grandmother. I have found three Susan(nah) Broyles cousins who were born between 1766 and 1775. One married Andrew Vaught, one married John Massie and one I can find no marriage information on. The ages of the children born to the first two eliminate the possibility of a second marriage to Elisha. The one I have not been able to find any data on was the daughter of John Broyles and Margaret Utz. Does anyone know if the daughter of John and Margaret married Elisha Humphreys? Elisha was born Mar 12, 1764 and died Aug 15, 1848 Carter/Washington Co. He was the son of John Humphreys and Susannah ______.. Elisha and Susan had the following children. Moses, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Jacob, Jane, Jesse, Orry, Susan, Jefferson Madison, Buford, and Mary Lorina. They were born between 1792 and 1813. Lee Skelton.
