Have a look at the following web page: http://www.ultranet.com/~deeds/broyles/html/d0003/g0000010.htm#I1111 William S. Broyles and wife Cynthia had Luther, Weaver, Opie, Hubert, Arthur and an number of other children. No Ira, though, and it's Hubert, not Herbert. (The birth dates that are given are fictitiousand are simply placeholders, so please disregard them.) I think this info came from Ken Broyles's books. William is person #1604 in the Keith manuscript as reprinted by Ken. This looks like a good match, but it must be confirmed. He is not a member of the List. Below is an excerpt of his message to me. Please respond to the list and to David Broyles if you have this Broyle's family. David's Bible may help us in our research. Thank you. Jim Albin Message text written by INTERNET:DBroyles1@aol.com >My Grandmother's name was Mary Elizabeth Broyles. My parents were older when I was born and I mever knew my grandparents since my dad was the youngest of several children. I'm not sure of the name of my grandfather. My dad's name was Stanley E. Broyles and he had several brothers--William, Herbert, Luther, Arthur, Weaver, Evertt, Opie, and Ira. I'm not sure or these relationships but other names were found. Cynthia Broyles, born probably about the same time as my grandmother ( late 1800's) Herbert Broyles, Emeline and Lewis H. Broyles. There is a Broyles cemetery at Lindside, West Virginia where many of my relatives are buried. My mother, Frances Olive McDonald was also from Lindside as well as my grandparents from my dad's side. Her mother was a Rushbrook from England. One other name came to light, Herbert Broyles. All these names are old - from the 1800's through the 1950's. I have a family Broyles bible of my grandparents that is dated December, 1881.< ==== BROYLES Mailing List ==== To unsubscribe from BROYLES, send an e-mail message to: BROYLES-L-request@rootsweb.com (for individual messages) BROYLES-D-request@rootsweb.com (for Digest mode) Subject: unsubscribe In the body include only one word: unsubscribe (Turn OFF your signature file when sending this command) ============================== Join the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: Linking the world, one GEDCOM at a time. http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/
