I am still working on trying to solve the mystery of who was Daniel Broyles wife and I have been looking at a connection with a Weaver family. Some Weavers were from South Carolina, Pendleton area which is where Aaron, son of Adam Broyles later settled. According to the History of Pendleton his son O. R. became a physician and apparently married Sarah Taliaferro a from a prominent Amherst County Virginia family. I also noticed names in Pendleton that seem to connect with the Watauga including Reed, Robinson/Robertson, Carter. Has anyone explored the South Carolina connection? According to the History of Pendleton many Virginia German families settled there. Thanks, Susan
