George- I saw the article was written by a Guinn and that she was from a prominant family. Is she related to my ancestor Nancy Guinn that married George B Wilhite (son of Julius and Margaret Hise, Grandson of Conrad and Elizabeth Broyles)? Just wondering if this was all the same. Printing this article from the website is much nicer than the graphics files I have of the actual newspaper article, plus you get a good color picture of the remains of the inn. While you're at that website, type in "Broylesville" in the search box and you'll see other Press articles dealing with the area. I grew up in Washington Co. and all the GUINNs I ever knew were all related to each other, and to the BROYLES ,WILHITE/WILHOIT, MARTIN, etc., families. There weren't very many of that name around there, so Sue GUINN LEGG could possibly be related. The GUINN families lived near Jonesborough, where Sue works for the newspaper.
