    2. My grandfather was never anything (good man, held no other office) but a Justice of Peace in Campbell Co, TN. He was called Squire Baird. His grandmother was Betty Broyles, daughter of Michael Broyles and Nancy Perkins. Betty married William A Douglass.

    3. I knew Felix's and Anna Allen Broyles grandson. He was my uncle. His wife my mother's sister just died a couple of years ago at age 90 she stated he was married to Anna Allen. No other proof. Also, I would like to know if there is any documented proof of his marriage to Anna Allen and if there is any documented proof of her maiden name.

    3. David, I also descends from Michael and yes he was a Methodist Minister. I descend from his daughter Lucinda who married James Standfield. I have lots I can share. Contact me privately. I just happened in on this conversation, and don't know the full context. I am fairly new to genealogical activities, but have done enough research to determine that I descended from Michael Broyles of Cambell County, TN as well, through his daughter Hannah (b 1827), who married Lewis Baird. Without looking, I think some of my research determined that he was a minister as well? Was he Methodist? I am interested in any leads I can find in continuing my own research on the Broyles line of my own family, and also in living relatives from this part of my family background. 3. Felix Broyles was born 8, Oct. 1798, and he was a Methodist minister and he did marry Anna Allen, who was born 1803. They had 10 children. This information came from Campbell and his relatives in Campbell Co., TN. Campbell Co. is just a few miles from where I live in Anderson County. The information has been published in several books. By John K. Broyles, Sr. and others. I donot know about the Methodist Church records. But if you can visit the Campbell County Historical Society you find all the proof you need. 3. Hello- I don't have much. I know that Madison is the son of Elizabeth Harvey and Ephraim Broyles. He was born 1 Nov 1807 in Monroe Co, VA and married Catharine Plow. In the 1840 and 1850 census, Elizabeth (Harvey) Broyles was living in Madison Co, IN. Another Plow that I found was Hannah Plow, who married Gimison Broyles Oct, 1839 in IN. Gimison was the son of Zacharias and Susanna E (Riner) Broyles; and died near Elwood, IN in 1897. Hannah was the dau of A and H Plow. Both Hannah and Gimison were buried in a "Cemetery in Van Buren Township, one mile south of Summitville, IN." They had 5 children that I am aware of: Susan, Malinda, Martha, George W, and Taylor Zacharias, all of whom were born in Madison Co, IN. I hope this helps some- Kathy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marijean TImmons" <mari@iquest.net> To: <BROYLES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 11, 2003 1:24 PM Subject: Re: [BROYLES] Rosina Broyles descendant > Hi > I was wondering if you have any info on Madison Broyles and his wife > Catherine Plow? Was she born in the late 1800's? We are searching for an Odiea - lastname unknown - was once married to William Cuffee (actually we don't know if they were married) - but they had a son Charles Cuffee born in Norfolk, VA, May 12, 1886. Perhaps could Odiea been married twice? Do you have any other info on her? When she was born, where she was born - any other relatives? There is only one Odiea showing up in census and death records for the U.S. - could this be her? The timeframe fits. Please contact me, thanks, Victoria Bond vb25@cornell.edu
