    2. Evidence, but not proof of marriage, is presence of Joseph Allen, age 93, in Felix and Anna's household in the 1860 census. Note also they named their eldest son Joseph. Tenn. in 1798 (probably Greene County). He married Anna Allen. He was a Methodist Minister in Campbell Co.,Tenn. and the surrounding counties. (I know his lineage. So, please, do not send information on his parents, children, etc.) I would like to know if he is mentioned in any histories of Campbell County, TN or in any publications of the Methodist Church (presently named the United Methodist Church). Also, I would like to know if there is any documented proof of his marriage to Anna Allen and if there is any documented proof of her maiden name. Thank you in advance. Her ancestors came from The Netherlands and settled in Kingston, Ulster, NY. The name was originally PLOEG in The Netherlands, changed to PLOUGH after emigration into NY, then eventually to PLOW. Catherine's parents were Abraham PLOUGH and Jerusha VARON. The only sibling I have for here is David PLOW. Abraham's parents were Aldirt PLOUGH and Cornelia SLUITER. The PLOUGH/PLOW family evidently migrated on down into VA, marrying into some of the Germanna families, such as BROYLES, then migrated further on south to Washington Co., NC (now Washington and Greene Counties, TN), then up to KY, and points north; however, some of them seem to have migrated directly from VA to KY, and then points north. It has been suggested to me that the Marriage License Applications which are kept in Nashville might give this information. Do you know if these applications were kept as early as 1870 which was the date of Felix's marriage to Abigail? Can you think of any other document which would prove that Aaron was the father of Felix? Thank you very much for your help. Bonnie

I own about 7 or 8 of those volumes. Thanks for thinking of them.
