Her ancestors came from The Netherlands and settled in Kingston, Ulster, NY. The name was originally PLOEG in The Netherlands, changed to PLOUGH after emigration into NY, then eventually to PLOW. Catherine's parents were Abraham PLOUGH and Jerusha VARON. The only sibling I have for here is David PLOW. Abraham's parents were Aldirt PLOUGH and Cornelia SLUITER. The PLOUGH/PLOW family evidently migrated on down into VA, marrying into some of the Germanna families, such as BROYLES, then migrated further on south to Washington Co., NC (now Washington and Greene Counties, TN), then up to KY, and points north; however, some of them seem to have migrated directly from VA to KY, and then points north.
