But do know that NOT all Brownlows in the US descend from James and Kate. Also, James Brownlow b, 1695 - d. 1740 from County Armagh was not the father of James Brownlow of James and Kate. All of his children were connected with the NC Brownlow's and to date there is no documentation that has been found to connect the two lines, or in other words, the Tennessee and the North Carolina Brownlow's. Even in my Brownlow dna study at Family Tree DNA, we have yet to find a comparable line with James and Kate. All of this James children are accounted for in NC with the exception of his oldest daughter, Elizabeth and we do not know what happened to her. Because of the connection with the Brownlow family in Fredericksburg, and the name Alexander, I think it would potentially be fruitful to explore that connection further.
