Hello List I am searching for information on my gg grandmother SALLIE BELL BROWNLOW b. abt 1872 . I have found the following Brownlow family in the Henderson County, TX in 1870 census. I think this may be her family. We have always been told that she and her parents were from Tennessee. 40/42 Brownlow, Geo. W M 28 Farmer TN TN TN Brownlow, Martha W F 29 W -- TN TN TN Brownlow, James W M 4 S -- TX TN TN Brownlow, Lula W F l0/12 D -- TX TN TN Brownlow, Maggie W F 12 Si At school TN TN TN Brownlow, Dora W F 14 Si At school TN TN TN Brownlow, Sallie W F 8 Si -- TN TN TN Brownlow, Thomas W M 10 B At school TN TN TN Sallie Brownlow married John D. Boyd in Athens TX, May 16, 1894...... and had the following children Lillie Boyd b. before 1899 poss. Athens Tx unknown Boyd - male - b before 1899 poss. Athens, TX possibly twin of George Elbert, could have died as an infant. George Elbert Boyd - b. July 31, 1899 or 1900 not known if there are other children. John David Boyd passed away according to family legend soon after George Elbert's Birth. Sallie Bell then remarried an Odell from Hamilton Co., TX. She is buried in the Hico Cemetery in Hamilton Co. as you can see, we have very little information so far, but I would love to hear from anyone who may know of this family.
