We have a Brownlow/Brownlee DNA study at www.familytreedna.com I highly recommend at least a 37 marker test for his ydna. If you can afford it, the Family FInder test can be a useful tool which assesses autosomal dna across all ancestors. If you go to the web site, look under the projects tab, then the B's, and scroll down until you find the Brownlow/Brownlee project...if you sign up in the project usually the prices are a bit lower.
