It seems to me that the printing of a publication on the Brownlees needs to be coordinated by using GEDCOMs from each of the contributors. You then do not need to worry about format, etc. since it would be collected by one or two individuals and combined into one database using whatever program the end person chooses. Another family of mine is doing this. We started out with Family Group Sheets and coordinating those then had everyone submit their line. Well, it just got to be a huge project until we started using the GEDCOMs files and letting one person take care of it. He is importing the GEDCOM files into Ultimate Family Tree. It was originally imported into Family Tree Maker but the printed report function in FTM was not sophisticated enough so it is now in the process of being transferred into Ultimate Family Tree which allows for unlimited text. We now have approximately 7 volumes on that family. My experience is gathering all the info takes a lot of coordinating but can be done with patience and time. Hope this helps. Pat Friesen
