Well an interesting phone call came to me today. My dad called and said that he received a package in the mail from another Cardwell that lives in the Portland, OR area. Says that there are about 25 pages of names and dates going "way back" - could not pin him down to be more specific - said I will have to wait and read it. The "way back" always makes me a bit skeptical. Well - the other part of it was that he said he saw the name Brownlee in there too. What are the chances of that? Are they related? Just one of those quinky dinks. Suspense. Wonder how many Cardwell lines were involved in the Oregon trail?
