William Galloway Pres. Minister >From Ontario Marriage records - Henry Brownlie, age 30, living London city, b W. Nissouri, bachelor, farmer, parents Andrew and Isabella, m Isabell J. Woods, age 28, living W. Nissouri, b W. Nissouri, spinster, parents Robert & Agnes, witnesses - David Wilkie of W. Nissouri and Sarah A. Weir of Dorchester, 18 Dec 1888 in W. Nissouri, both listed religion as Presbyterian, by the Rev. Wm. Galloway So, the question is - who did Henry really marry on the 18th of Dec 1888 - Martha Jennie Woods or Isabell J. Woods????? BIRTHS: Della Aggie Bell b 14th May 1890 Verna Jean, b 3rd Aug 1893 James Woods, b 12 Oct 1896 Parents - Martha Jane b 4 Apr 1860 and Henry b 14 Feb 1858 MARRIAGES: In St Pauls Church Hamilton- Rev D. Drummond officating - Amelia Jane Eccelstone and James Woods Brownlie - May 24, 1930; divorced Nov 1943 - final six months after In Trinity United Church Toronto - Rev. Dr. F Crossley Hunter - Evelyn Martin and James Woods Brownlie, March 31, 1956 DEATHS: Henry Brownlie, aged forty eight years and six months died August 16th 1906. Martha Jane Brownlie aged eighty-three years and three months, died July 11, 1943 James Wood Brownlie, aged 60 died Nov 4, 1956 - not long after his second marriage.
