Has the format of this list been changed? Although I'm still subscribed, I am no longer receiving the digests. What I am getting is the following statement: "This message is a multi-part MIME message and will be saved with the default filename BROWNLEE.mim" That's it! Nothing else. I've heard that AOL doesn't open MIME files. If that's the case & this list is now being sent in MIME, I guess please unsubscribe me. Angela
Just checking your system. Thanks for everything.

I'm looking for any information on the Jane that came from Ireland or Scotland in 1700's. They had 2 childern John and Noel Brownlee. I think both sons were born in the native country. I think Jane's last name was "Wernell". John married Lavina and lived on Walnut Creek Plantation.
Hello all I finally got through all of my messages. What a chore :) I do have a question - when I was getting ready to leave (July 8) the mail was very wacky! - Did something happen for awhile, were messages lost in space? I saw one note that made a refe. to a previous one and I never received that note. Anyway folks - I am here - hope everyone is healthy and enjoying the heat! Kay Cardwell-Davis
Thanks for the note, Pat. Are you connected to the Jesters? Sue Peltier ([email protected]) is researching Jesters in connection with her Brownlees? Are you in touch? I don't remember if we've written each other before. Refresh my memory on what Brownlee line you descend from. Betty
Saw your note re births of the living. Thanks for being so thoughtful about that. Pat
Hello fellow Brownlees! I am a Brownlee by birth, my father being Reece Brownlee, grandfather Robert Leo, g-grandfather David Calhoun, g-g-grandfather Robert, g-g-g-grandfather Samuel. These start in Illinois and progressively move south and southwest thru Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. (I am told we are of the Torfoot clan and am still researching this to verify it.) I am also looking for a William Charles Brownlee and his family. I have here he married a Melinda Bolt. His parents are listed as Charles J. Brownlee and Mary Carter Brownlee. We are told he was probably from TN or MO area but have not had much success so far in locating that family line. Thank you and very kind regards to all. Any info will be greatly appreciated and should I have a line which also yours, I would be most happy to share any and all pictures and documents. I'm forwarding this for another cousin, hope someone knows of Lucinda! Sue Peltier Rob Westbrook, born 1860-1875 and Lucinda Brownlee, born abt 1873, in Tate Co, MS. They were married and found in Lincon Co, OK around 1895. They had 5-8 children; Thelma, Viola, Jack, Gillie, Houston, and Florence "Peggy", born between 1895-1910. Lucinda Brownlee Westbrook, died abt 1910, of TB and Rob Westbrook, sent the children back to northern MS to be raised by relatives. Thelma Westbrook, was the oldest, and was 12 when Lucinda Brownlee Westbrook died. Thelma married unknown and died in Blackrock, AR. Viola Elizabeth Westbrook, was born Nov 24, 1900, Chandler, Lincoln Co, OK. She lived with an elderly Brownlee family for a while then taken in by Percy and Anna Lewers of Tate Co, MS. She married Edward Emerson and raised 3 children in Memphis, TN. Gillie Westbrook, born in 1903, and Houston Westbrook were adopted by General Dekalb Garrison. Gillie married Jack Crockett, a cousin, son of Walter Crockett, grandson of Samuel Thompson Crockett. This all the proved information that I have on my Westbrooks, any information would be greatly appreciated. Rob Westbrook may have remarried and started another family...probably had roots in northern MS, and Lucinda Brownlee...Lucinda is the daughter of Stoner Brownlee and Sallie Crockett. Thank you for your time and effort. Lisa Henderson [email protected]
