Dear Kelly and list: There is a third Stanfield P. BROWNING... a grandson of Edmund Woodville BROWNING. STANFIELD P.5 BROWNING (THOMPSON4, EDMUND WOODVILLE3, JOSHUA2, JOHN1) was born 1857, and died 15 February 1914 in Putnam Co., IN. He married (1) IDA B. ROCKAWAY 18 March 1886 in Putnam Co., IN. He married (2) BETTIE E. HILLIS 24 December 1894 in Putnam Co., IN. On the 1870 Putnam Co. Census, Stanfield is listed as age 13, which would make his birth in 1857. Since at least two of the Stanfield's were descendants, it makes me wonder if Edmund's first wife was a STANFIELD. The other Stanfield I can not link. Does anyone know where he fits? STANFIELD P.1 BROWNING was born 1827. He married (1) EMMY MILLS 1847 in Fleming Co., KY. He married (2) ELIZABETH CONN 1852 in Mason Co., KY. He married (3) ELMIRA A MCDOUGLE 1872. 1850 To 1880 Bracken Co Census, two different StanfieldsÂ’ one was the son of Allen.
