This is for Winslow and Tom: I also am a Browning trying to trace my roots. From William Browning born around 1810 in GA to ALto GA to AL to TX. I have not been able to find siblings or parents. We show him married to Nancy ? and having many children. I have his childrens names and dates including mygggrandfather Wylie/Wiley B. Browning who married Exa Ann Law. They had many children with John Lacey Browning born 1880 my ggrandfather. My cousins's grandmother was his sister Clemmie Iola Browning Sellers. I am also a Humphreys. My gggrandfather was George Washington Humphreys born 1851 in Greenville, Mississippi. Trying to locate his parents and siblings. Have names of his children, etc. Have sent to Austin, Texas for his death record in hopes of finding more information. He was a lawyer, real estate agent, county commissioner in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. He was married to Sarah Angeline Thompson. Does any of this information coincide with yours?
