On the post concerning the children of Edmund Browning. I don't think that Edmund had any children by Mary Ann Murphey. I don't know if Murphey was her maiden name or whether she, too, had been married previously. All nine of the children mentioned in Edmund's will were adults and three of them, Caleb, Joshua and Elizabeth, were deceased. Those children mentioned in the post as "his other children"---Elijah, Toliver, Henry, Lucy, Molly, and Jenny---were the children of his son Caleb, and later proceedings indicate that they were living in Clark Co., KY. I have also seen it suggested that Edmund had a tenth child named Delila who was married to James Boren. James Boren's mother may have been Susannah Teague who first married Joseph Boren and then married John Browning, Edmund's brother. This is where the grandchild Nancy Bowin/Boren mentioned in Edmund's will fits in. The one thing that makes me doubt that Delila was Edmund's daughter is that James Boren and his wife, Delila, had seven other children who are not, then, mentioned in Edmund's will. If any one has proof of any children Edmund might have had by Mary Ann Murphey, please post it to the list. Steve Loose
