Merida Ransom Browning b ca 1877 in FCI married Bessie L Pierce in Perry Co, IL 1904. Bessie is the daughter of William Silas Pierce b 1855? and Sarah Abbie LeCroy, b 1865?I have nothing on either Pierce or LeCroy. Merida is the son of Oliver Columbus "Lum" b 1853 FCI, married Alice Brown 1878 in FCI. I have nothing on Alice Brown. Lum was the son of Samuel Stack Browning b ca 1826 IL?and Martha Thornton b ca 1831? They were married in Jackson Co,IL in 1848. I have almost nothing on Martha Thornton. Samuel was the son of Gilbert Browning b ca 1808 NC, and Elizabeth Steele b ca 1808? Lots to try to research in a short amount of time. I do want to say that this is one of the better surname lists. TN Joseph Allen in 1870 census TX. 1900 census in Chaves Co. New Mexico. Has anyone seen any of these names in their research? Need to know Thomas W. parents and siblings.
