Hi ! I have a Melinda Ella BROWNING born Jan 8, 1879., Melinda Ella Browning married Samuel Paul LEWIS in Franklin County, Illinois., On December 15, 1896. The marriage license lists Melinda's parents as Warren Browning and Sarah ???? I just started on this family., So would appreciate any help I can get with them. I've read the 1880 census for Franklin County, and found her family. The 1870 Census for Franklin County lists a Levi Browning and Tabithia., As having a child Warren Browning about 16 years old. Would this Levis Browning be Melinda's grandfather ? Anyone know. Melinda father I have would have been born about 1855 say's Il. Thanks For Any Help ! Kathy
