Hi David, In your e-mail you did not put the name of your great Grandfather. You requested some "help tips". If you go to the "home page" of RootsWeb.com, scroll down to "Roots Web's Guide To Tracing Family Trees". Click on "Index To Lessons". There are 30 lessons here. It would be worth your time to scan over all of these. This will give you something to do while you are waiting for the "list" to kick-in, and start sending you some information. RootsWeb is a great place to start. The have several Gedcom's ( that is complete family trees). I am fairly new to the "list" also. I have spent the last 3 years searching my wife's (HUMKE)side of the family. I have printed out several emails from the Browning list though. I know there are several Browning's from Kentucky amoungst them. I sort through them and help you out all I can. I am in the midst of re-modeling our house so I do not have much time to spend on my genealogy. I will do what I can though. Now that you have "posted" your family, I am very sure the rest of the "list", who are much better qualified to supply you with faster information, will start replying to you. I would suggest when you reply to these e-mails, that you select the "Reply All". That way the rest of us can read it too, and be better able to help you out.
