Somehow I have managed to assign=20 the same group of children to two men. One of the men is Elijah G. Browning (b. 1811 Caswell Co NC) m. Nancy=20 Whittemore in 1836, Rockingham Co NC. He is the s/o Robert & Frances=20 (Kimbrough) Browning. The other is Edwin G. Browning who m. Nancy Dinwiddie. I believe he is the=20 s/o Wiley & Nancy (Heath) Browning. but don't know any more about him. The 1860 Gibson Co TN census shows E.G. & Nancy Browning with the followintg= =20 children: Martha, age 20; Edwiin, age 18; E.S. Jr., age 21; John K. age 15;= =20 George W., age 10; Nancy, age 7; Aron P., age 4 and Wm, age 2. The census= =20 says E.G., Nancy and several of their children were b. NC, while Aron and Wm= .=20 were born in TN. =20 Is this E.G. the same as Elijah G. or Edwin G.? And who are the children of= =20 the other man? Help!
