James disinherited all his children expect Jesse and Mary Browning in his will dated 6 June 1863 would love to see any evidence of the above named children. The information I have is based on the statement of John Browning January 13, 1928 Clintwood, Virginia from From "Pioneer Recollections" by E. J. and Hetty Sutherland. excerpt below. My grandfather was James Browning, He lived on Moccasin Creek awhile and also on the Dale Carter farm. He once owned Hawkins Mill, which is still being operated between Hansonville and Dickensonville. I do not recall his wife's name. Some of their children were: Jesse, James Browning who moved to Lexington, Kentucky, Joe Browning who moved to Nebraska, and Frank Browning who lived in Russell County, Virginia and had at least one son, Cummings. I am a little relation to Jesse Browning, who recently died in Washington County, Virginia, but I don't know how close. I do not know the name of my great-grandfather Browning. My mother's parents were Robert and Amy Kelly Stinson. Any help with this line would be greatly appreciated. Teresa Browning The Browning Family
