Ken, I didn't recognize any of your Brownings, but since I don't know anything about my g-grandmother's family I thought I would see if you recognize her name. Her name was Leiah Browning, (may be Lea or Leah). She married Henry Brierly. She was from around Henry Co. Ky after she was married, but I don't know if she may have been from somewhere else before that. Since your Brownings were from Indiana & Ilinois, I thought maybe there could be a connection. She's my brick wall, since I don't know who her parents or siblings were, or where or when she was born. Her husband was born around 1859, but I don't know if they were close to the same age. They had 8 children: Luke Pete Brierly, Robert Thomas Brierly, William (Smoot) Brierly, Maude Ann Brierly, Ellie Brierly, Leona Brierly, Katheryn Brierly, & Jennie Brierly (my grandmother).
