I have been told that Gilbert BROWNING born ca 1808 NC, died Nov 1883, FCI, married Elizabeth ? ca 1825, born ca 1808, are the parents of Samuel. I have also been told that Gilbert BROWNING is the youngest son of Levi BROWNING born April 1758, VA, and Margaret PURNELL. I can't find anything to connect Samuel to Gilbert, or Gilbert to Levi. Gilbert BROWNING settled in what is now Six Mile Township, and received 600 acres of land from the government. He lived his entire life here. Gilbert and Elizabeth are supposed to be buried at Browning Cemetery near now Royaling, Illinois. With this information can anybody help me to connect the players together? Jo
