LAUBY 1899, A.J. BROWNING, Francis BROWNING, Rufus BROWNING, Judith BROWNING, Mary Jane BROWNING 1913, John G. BROWNING 1917. (1870 census- BROWNING, A. J.- male- 45- W- Blacksmith- VA Mary-35-w-Keeps House- KY Robert- 12- w- KY Judith- 8- w- KY Mary- 5- w- KY John-2-w-KY.... all were living in Maysville in 1870) New part- J.L. BROWNING- died 4-3-1897- Triangle lot 1 Judith K. BROWNING- died 4-9-1906- no lot or section number. Mrs. Lida BROWNING- died 7-13-1920- sec. H Lot 133. J.W. BROWNING- died- 12-2-1917- Sec H, Lot 20 Margeret (or Marion) BROWNING- died 6-28-1927- no lot or sec. # Also found this will mentioned in the Mason Co. KY Court Records abstracts- Will Book K. pg. 193, Will of Thomas BROWNING of Mason Co., KY Dated 6-15-1830. Proven - July Court, 1835. Mentions wife (does not give her name), sons- Theoderic L. BROWNING, Ludwell Yancey BROWNING, Edmund Woodville BROWNING, and daughter Harriet LeWright Browning. Witness- W.B. LURTY and Samuel Hoison. Deed Book C. page 216. Dated 24 May 1796 John GASKINS and Sarah, his wife, of Mason Co, convey land to Thomas BROWNING, of same place, land located "on the waters of Little Bracken." Deed Book A, page 257 Robert B. MORTON, and Mary, his wife, of Mason Co., convey land to Thomas BROWNING of same place "100 acres on waters of Cabbin creek adjoining lands of Edmund BROWNING." Witnesses to deed- William BRONOUGH Sr., William BRONOUGH, and Peter D. Myer. Deed Book J. page 9 27Mar1806 Thomas MARSHALL and Fanny, his wife, of Mason Co., convey to Thomas BROWNING, of said place, 100 acres of land. Deed Book J, page 12 27 Mar1806 Thomas BROWNING and Elizabeth, his wife, of Mason Co., mortgage to Thomas MARSHALL, of same place, to secure purchase price of land. Note: "Hon. Thomas BROWNING married Elizabeth LEWRIGHT." From- Early Families of Eastern and Southern Kentucky- (pg. 700) Elizabeth STROTHER- married Captain John BROWNING of the Continental Line, son of Frank BROWNING. D.P. BROWNING who lived at Lewisburg, KY was a descendant. Mary STROTHER, sister of Elizabeth, married Charles BROWNING.
