    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: AVERETT, BROWNING Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/HNG.2ACEB/1653.1.1 Message Board Post: In 1830 Thomas Co., GA Census, there was a Daniel Browning, Radford Browning (is this my Simpson's father?), and a William Browning, In the 1840 Thomas Co., GA Census Simpson Browning was hh 1 male 20-29 and 1 female 50-59, no doubt his mother. In the 1850 Macon Co., AL Census, Simpson is shown as being 31 b. GA. I found the Simpson Browning in Orange Co., NC. He d. 21 May 1920 in Durham, NC. In 1840 Thomas Co., GA Census, Simpson Browning would not have fit into the 20-29 category, had he been b. 1807. In Elizabeth Averett's Estate papers, her daughter Elizabeth (Averett) Browning is listed as being the wife of Simpson Browning he reside in Macon Co., AL. To me, that alone makes the Simpson b. abt. 1820 in GA in Macon Co., AL Census, mine, not including Census records that show him in Thomas Co., GA 1840, 1850 in Macon Co., AL b. GA.
