I'm so sorry to be so unhappy with this list serve because my Browning research is very important to me ... but the spamming that is going on is very unwelcome. Can we get this fixed? Dave A

I will have to go through some of my records. I am going mostly on memory here. It may take me awhile, as I will probably be gone for a few weeks. John and Ida had 11 children. The youngest daughter, Anna Belle, was born in 1924 or 1925, and died young. She was not on the 1930 census. John was not on the 1930 census with the family, even though he was still alive. He died 1932. Ida died 1953. Have some leads on Wm's parents, but nothing definite at this time. I have all the info on the other children, Just can't find where Annabell died. She isn't in the Archives in Illinois or Missouri. John and Ida divorced before 1930. When he got cancer, he moved back home with Ida and she took care of him until his death. I can't find where Rollie died either. The only Child ( of William and Mary) I have a death record on is James Eddie. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. She is not on the 1930 census, so I would guess she died in infancy. I have not had this confirmed. Also, the father is not on the 1930 census with this family - he is with his brother Rollie C, and his wife Mary. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Like the marriage for John and Martha was stating as being 14 October 1830 in Pike County, IL--- well that marriage is not listed on the IL Statewide Marriage Index. It does have Elizabeth's marriage to Tolbert but nothing on Martha... Also John S's death date... (7 Nov 1873 In Pike County, IL) start that early... Also Martha's death... 1892... I have looked in the IL Death Index Pre 1916 but nothing... This could possibly be retrieved from Pike County itself but I was told that since it wasn't "required" to be filed it might not be there... Also there are a few more kids listed than I knew about from census records... Any help on that? I am NOT looking for YOUR work... just wanting to get some clues... I am currently weeding through Brownings in Kentucky to see where John S possibly came from... Boy there are lots of Brownings in KY... LOL Anyway, any guidelines/direction would be greatly appreciated!! Juls Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have seen October 1830 in Pike County, IL as the marriage date but looking on the IL Statewide Marriage site there is no listing for it... Anyone have a source for this marriage? Judy, thanks for the info on the alcohol/insane thing... I think we have corresponded before... about 6-7 years ago when I began working on this family... Do you know where John S. was in Kentucky before coming to Illinois? Thanks, Juls Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
