I have an article from The Times-Democrat, Flemingsburg, KY, April 6, 1950, written by Billy Talley, that speaks highlyof Major Jacob Reed (War for Independence) and his son General William Reed (War of 1812). William Reed was born Loudoun county, VA, 2-24-1770, died Mason conty, KY, 6-21-1835. He married Mary Moore of Hunterdon county, Province of New Jersey and Loudoun county, VA, born 6-10-1770, died 6-21-1835. Their children were: Rebecca Reed; Jacob Reed; Captain John Moore Reed; Sarah Reed; Joseph Reed; Nancy Reed; Mary M.Reed; James Reed; William Reed, junior; Elizabeth R. Reed; and Julianna Reed. Julianna Reed married my gggrandfather Ludwell Yancy Browning. Their children were: William Reed Browning, 1833; Thomas Browning,1834; Mary Browning, 1837; Elizabeth Browning, 1839; Woodville Browning, 1840; Ludwell Yancy Browning, 1842 died 1843; Ludwell Yancy Browning, junior, 1844; Theodoric Lee Browning, 1845. If these are your people, and you want a copy of the article, let me know. Winslow

Kelly, Just wondering whether the Hurley book substantiates the relationship between Edward Browning (b. abt. 1705) and Francis Browning?
