    3. Anyone out there have any info on Elbra Browning son of Joseph Browning and Mary Elizabeth Blankenship? I can find a list of his siblings however coming forward has been a brick wall. I can find no marriage record or children. I found an Elbra in the 1920 Mingo census but I can find nothing to prove this Elbra is the same as the Elbra and Rosa in the census. I believe he is my grandfather but cannot prove it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bonnie

My grandfather was Homer Bryan Browning, b. 1894 or 1896. He married Vera Thompson, 1917. Homer had four brothers: Clarence, Earnest, Boyd, and Benjamin. I do not know if these are first names, middle names (go bys) or some combination thereof. I can't find anything on Homer's death, 1951 in Dallas, TX. I cannot find anything on his parents.     3. As I review the information I have received on the Pendleton County, Kentucky Brownings I have a few questions. Most everyone lists the Toliver Browning and Elijah Browning that are found in Pendleton County as brothers. Is it possible that Elijah was actually the son of Toliver. I guess whats bugging me is the 22 year age difference. There is also the power of attorney shown below, the Elijah Browning listed in the Pendleton County, Kentucky Census records would have only been 13 years old at the time of this court document. 1810 DEED: Caswell Co, NC, DB Q-228, 27 Sep. Power of Attorney - Toliver Browning, Heny Browning, John Flynn intermarried with Lucy Browning, Milla Browning, Jenney Browning, to brother Elijah Browning to demand their part in legacy as heirs of Caleb Browning decd by last will & testament of Edmond Browning decd of Caswell Co, NC. Given from Clark Co., KY. I also have information that the Caleb Browning who married Alice Grigsby born and died in Virginia, I have gathered some records on his other children each showing that they were born in Virginia yet the Elijah listed in Pendleton county, shows that he was born in Kentucky Does anyone have a probate record for Toliver? or further information about this family? I am looking for information about my great-grandparents, Elizabeth Bolton and William Henry Browning, who were born in Manchester, England and moved to the United States sometime before 1871, when my grandfather, William Mowbray Browning, was born in Philadelphia. He died in 1954 in Oklahoma City. Their other children were Margaret Ann (born about 1865, married Robert Harper); Thomas Walter, president of the Chicago Board of Trade (b. abt. 1867, m. Ester St. John); James Bolton (b. abt. 1869, d. abt. 1870); Nelle Kingston (b. abt. 1873); Ralph Rushton, president of Union Carbide (b. abt. 1875, m. Louise Walsh); and Marion (b. abt. 1890, m. F.E. Toensmeier in 1943). I am interested in learning more about William and Elizabeth -- or in hearing from any of their other descendants.
