Mary, I am not sure of the dates for your grandmother as you have her born 1875 and dying 1814. However, I have some Browns that were in S.C. to Maury Co., Tenn. ca 1810 where Rebecca Brown married Michael Waldrip. They then moved to Wayne Co., Tenn. There is an Absalom Brown, Edias, and William Brown associated with her, possible her brothers or her father and brothers. They later moved to Tishimingo Co., Miss. Does this seem to fit with any of your Brown info? Joyce,thank you for responding,sorry about the death date,for Mary Jane Brown,it should have been,1914.in my ,Mangum,genalogy we have a Rebecca loyd,who married Wiley P Hitchcock.and a Eliza loyd who married a Thomas Mangum,according to this genalogy,Rebecca,and Eliza loyd were the aunts to my grandmother,Mary Jane Brown.
