My three generations are: Me: Alice Brown, born is Searcy, Arkansas, July 22, 1953. My Dad, Ernest Brown, born November 3, 1914 in Shirley (Van Buren County) Arkansas, died October 2002. My grandfather, James W. Brown, born 1893 in Van Buren County,Arkansas, died 1972. My gggrandfather William Arkley Brown born 1859 in Overton County, Tennessee, died 1931 in Van Buren County, Arkansas. My ggggranfather is my brickwall. Elijah was born about 1834 in Jackson County, Tennessee. He served in Shaw's Battalion and spent some time as a POW. After the Civil War, he moved his family to Van Buren County Arkansas where he died in 1897. Prior to the war, I can't find much on him. I came by some information that Nathaniel Brown might be his father, but I can't verify it. Anyone? Alice Brown
