Does anyone on this list have a BROWN/GRIST connection. Sarah Grist lanning Brown was born Ocdtober 8, 1847 in Georgia. She came to Arkansas ca 1870, son Arthur Lanning was born in Arkansas. Do not know what happened to the father, or exactly when she married GEORGE W. BROWN. She had four children by George W. Brown; Ada Elizabeth, Ida Josephine, John Willis and Colombus Turner Brown, all born in Newton County, Arkansas.George brought Billie, Charley & Martha with him into the marriage. Martha died young. I believe most of this family came to Oklahoma from Arkansas in early 1900's. Sarah Grist Brown died March 17, 1910 in Pittsburg Co., Oklahoma. Elizabeth Bailey
