I'm searching for the parents of Irvin BROWN. Believe he was born about 1813 in NC or possibly SC. The earliest documentation related to him I've found is his 1839 marriage license in Maury Co., TN where he wed Parthena JOHNSON. They are recorded in the 1840 Williamson Co., TN census, and in the 1850 and 1860 Maury Co., TN census. They had three sons listed in the 1850 census: Richard 9, William 7, and Thomas 2. In 1866 Irvin married Parthena's younger sister Lucy JOHNSON in Maury Co., TN -- and then they seem to have disappeared. Through DNA testing, Irvin's line has been associated with a family line living in Bladen Co., NC and Marlboro Co., SC in the mid to late 1700s. Unfortunately, so far we have been unable to find and document that connection. Does anyone recognize Irvin? Any additional information would be very welcome and certainly appreciated.
