Hi Nancy - Thanks for your letter. Like so many times in family research I have to say - we are not looking at the same Fred Brown. This was my wife's Uncle Fred who went blind and he and his family moved from Forrest Co., MS to the New Orleans area and has been lost to us. I have said, this is my wife's line. Her maiden name was Maloy and Mary Brown line we are looking for was her paternal grandmother. We have traced her Maloy line back to the Isle of Jura on the west coast of Scotland in 1726. My Eastes/Estes line goes back to Deal, Kent Co., England in 1495. I am sorry I have not been able to help! There are so many brick walls at the end of the blind alleys! Best Regards Roy Eastes Gulfport, MS (Katrina Country) In a message dated 2/27/2007 2:43:35 P.M. Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Roy, I am interested in your ancestor, Fred Brown. We have been searching for our Fred Brown for years and have nothing concrete. Several hints but thats all! Is there anything at all that you could tell us about your Fred? Is it possible that he could have been James Frederick Brown? That is a possibility for our Fred. The one thing we do know is that he was in Alabama for several years,,,,,about 1900-1908. As a sideline,,,my husband and his father were Roy Browns. Could thatbe a family name??? Nancy Brown ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
