WILLIAM1 BROWN Married CECILIA LAMBERT, daughter of NATHANIEL LAMBERT and CAREY BOUNDS. She was born 1830 in Perry Co., Mississippi1. Notes for CECILIA LAMBERT: The Mother of Mary Louise (Lambert) Brown was given as Cecilia Lambert on Mary's death certificate. The person giving this information was William Maloy, Mary's son. Children of WILLIAM BROWN and CECILIA LAMBERT are: i. PAT2 BROWN. ii. JOSEPHINE BROWN. iii. FRED BROWN. iv. MARY LOUISE (MARY JANE) BROWN2, b. 26 Mar 18503; d. 27 Mar 1943, Wiggins, MS3; m. WILLIAM M. MALOY, JR.4; b. 23 Dec 1840, Santa Rosa Co., FL5; d. 13 Nov 1929, Brooklyn, MS5. Notes for MARY LOUISE (MARY JANE) BROWN: Birth and death dates taken from death Certificate. Maiden name was Mary Brown Age at death was 93 years. Father was William Brown Mother was Celia Lambert Buried beside husband William M. Maloy in Brookyn Cem. ********************* The only date we have to work with is for MARY LOUISE (MARY JANE) BROWN b. 26 Mar 1850. We also know there were three younger brothers So allowing 2 years between births would put the marriage date abt 1844. Since his wife Cecilia was born in 1830, she would have only been 14 at the time, so it was probably later. If William was 20 when married - his birth date would be about 1824 This is a lot of guessing but gives a ball park date of William's birth somewhere between 1810 and 1825. Family stories say all the children were born in MS and we suspect that Williams parents migrated from GA, FL and/or AL. Any help or leads will be appreciated.
