I am still attempting to link these Osborns with my g2 grandfather Daniel P. Osborn of Newton County, MO. I would be interested in who you have identified as siblings to William Wiley Osborn and do you know where he is buried. I believe that William Wiley's father was William Osborn b. 1780 in VA and that the elder William died in Jasper County between 1850-1860. I have read that the elder is buried (unmarked) in a neglected and abandoned cemetery in Jasper County. The name of the cemetery escapes me at the moment but I can look it up if you would like to know. I found the mention in Colleen Belk's transcriptions of the Jasper County Cemeteries. Now that I think about it I believe that the name is/was Sidenstrecker. It is listed on the USGenWeb site for Jasper County, MO. Anything that you know about this family prior to their settlement in southwest MO would be appreciated.
