Try to find a copy of the book "Log Cabin Families" by Royall Hardin. It is available in a lot of genealogy libraries. It documents the Browns and Sparks families of Wilkes County NC. I spoke with Royall prior to his death and he was a font of knowledge. I have ties to those families myself. Happy Hunting!
