Hi Pat Do you have them on any census? I will be happy to send copies of the census record if you accept attachments. I am in Texas south Texas. Our Brown were VA, TN, AR and TX. also fought on the Confederate side my husband's gg grandfather died in the civil war at the time they were in AR. I found no others searching this particular family yet. Found what I believe to be you on Rootsweb world connect as it is the same line contact is Richard L. Rice it includes the Jones name. But poking around in PA might help if you had some idea as to what county they might have come from or any stories about other siblings or other relations. Let me know about the census record and will attempt to track them farther.
