Ray, You don't say whether you have a connection to this line, but I have interest in some other Joplin Browns, notably those that can trace their lines back to Jacob F. Brown in Fort Scott, Kansas. Jacob married Martha Anne Capps 4 apr 1879, and they had had six children: Jasper N John R. Ada Mae (my grandmother) Harrison Benjamin Thomas Jefferson Gus M. I have contacted the descendants of part of Harrison's family in Joplin, but I've lost the trail of a couple of the other lines. If you have a connection, I'd like to hear from you.
