    3. Well, I do have to say that this great grandmother of mine - Mary Undine Brown - kept the same spelling of that name until she died, which was in 1912, I believe (off the top of my head). I appreciate all the responses to my two Brown lines, especially the first one I wrote about. How about the second one - my Ezekiel Brown, Jr. ended up in Henry Co., Alabama, and I don't know when he died or where he is buried. His widow was Emily (Greene) Brown, and I don't know when she died either, although I do know that she was still alive in 1870. I also don't know what happened to any of their children except for Amanda, who was my great grandmother who ended up back in Harris Co., GA after being with her husband, John Q. Thomas, at the hospital in Macon, GA. He died in 1864 from wounds sustained in the Civil War. Just to refresh your memories, the name of Ezekiel and Emily Brown's children were: Franklin, Amanda M. (my great grandmother), Elizabeth, George, H. Harrison, Jane, Mary, James, Nancy, and Charles. Surely, there must be some descendants somewhere in Alabama or Mississippi or somewhere, from all these individuals. Perhaps Florida, as I do know that Charles Brown was in the upper part of Florida at one time. Can't seem to find out much of anything from the Henry Co., AL web site. I know that H. Harrison Brown owned land there.
