I am searching for the parents of Thomas Brown born 1830 in Indiana and 1876 in Champaign county, Illinois. He married Elizabeth Jane Golden in 1853 Champaign county, Illinois. Thanks, Scott

Reprinted from the April 21, 2007 edition of The Joplin Globe... Charles William "Charlie" Brown Sr., age 74, of Joplin, passed away at the home of a daughter Thursday, April 19. Born Oct. 8, 1932, in Jasper, MO, he was the only child of the late Charles E. Brown and Margaret Underwood Schreiner. He was raised and lived in Joplin until 1948. He lived many years in the Panama Canal Zone and was a management analyst for the Panama Canal Locks Division. He retired to Joplin in 1981. He attended St Paul's United Methodist Church and was a member of Joplin elk's Lodge Number 501. Survivors include a son, Charles W. Brown Jr. of Joplin, two daughters, Teresa A. Jenkins and husband, Jerry, of Joplin, and Dianne Vilani and husband, Michael, of Rockford, Ill, 4 granddaughters and 7 great-grandchildren.
