In looking for Mary Jane Brown's family after finding her with her siblings and father and mother in Jasper, Wayne County, Illinois in 1870 I was wrong to say the father must have died and the family split up before 1880. I have found the whole family in Posey County, Indiana in the 1880 census which is not all that far from Wayne County, Illinois. Karen
