Was your Joseph married to an Anna? Maybe Anna Barton? As I mentioned in an earlier email, the Joseph I have, and probably is the same as the one who was married to Lucy Spencer..as she died in 1821. He then married Anna and had Joseph A., b. 1825 and Sally. Perhaps your Elijah was their first born? I read your posting to roots web and was wondering if there is a connection to my elijah barton brown who was born in cayauga county in 1823, his fathers name was also joseph and mothers name was clarrissa, i know there was a lot of joseph's but was just wondering if there could be a connection?
