    3. Hello all Brown researchers; William's parents names taken from marriage record William Henry (Brown) Bryant age 26 Edith Margaret Clawson age 16. William Henry (Brown) Bryant was born 3 Nov 1868 Washington, Delaware, Indiana This is my grandfather; we also through my brother have taken a DNA and so far no Brown matches. I have tracked both parents of William Henry Brown (my grandfather) this I hope fits one of you out there I don't think DNA is a quick fix. I am still tracking to see who had my grandfather until I found him in the 1880 census In the home of Thomas F & Catherine (Harty) Bryant stated taken to raise. Thomas and Catherine did not marry until 1871 and Catherine was with her family and 16 years of age in 1870 census. This is my grandfather's half brothers and sisters. My grandfather took the name Bryant some time after the 1880 census; I was told his mother tried to get him back but he did not want to go with her. My cousin said he was told the father went to get him but he would not go with him. So we don't know just what happened but we do know we are of the Brown's and Johnson's line. Thanks for any reply or idea's Ellie Warsaw MO.
