Hi, I am trying to piece together the family of John Brown and his wife, Catherine. John made his will in 1826 in King George County. Listed in his will are: Anthony: son Catherine: wife Mary Sorrell: granddaughter Lucy Brown and Mariah Brown: widowed daughter in law and granddaughter Willis: deceased son, husband of Lucy and father of Mariah Dickson: son Joel Rose: son in law Elizabeth Rose: wife of Joel Rose A lawsuit continued into the 1830s and lists additional children: William Brown: son Lucy McQueen: daughter Coleman: son Frances Williamson: daughter John: son Coleman and Frances maybe children of John Jr, but I can't tell by the documents.
