    1. Re: [BROWN] David Brown 1887 Wilcox Georgia
    2. Good morning, I'm not related but might have some information that will help. I found David with his parents in 1900 Maple Branch, Wilcox, GA. He was transcribed as being 13 and born June 1888. His mother's age must have been off by a few years as that would have meant she was 50 when she had him. There is too much scribbling on that page. I did see where it looked like he was 21 years of age which would have put his birth at about 1878. But then, he should have been listed on the 1880 census. Tom and Martha are in Pineview, Wilcox, GA, in 1910, with son Charley. They are still in Pineview in 1920. They don't appear in the 1930 census. I would think they died between 1920-1930 but I don't find them in the GA Death Index. I also did not find them in the death certificate section of The Georgia Vault. If you can find an obituary or funeral home records, chances are that will help you find David. Also, Charlie/Charley/Charles J Brown died 11 Nov 1949 in Baldwin County and was living in Wilcox County at the time of his death. Once again, an obituary or funeral home records would be good to search. Funeral home records list relatives and where they were living at the time of the funeral. Those records of the siblings might also give a clue or two on David. Cemeteries are good, too, but I haven't been able to locate any for that area online. David was still alive in 1910 as his mother stated that all 6 children were still living then. I wish you happy hunting. Molly In a message dated 3/8/2009 6:51:43 P.M. I would appreciate any help you might can give or point me to!
