I need to identify the "Captain Henry Brown" implied in this record, if anyone has a clue. The entry is in Sussex County Deeds, Book P, page 248, March 4 1828, the abstract reading: "Martha Brown, widow of Capt. Henry Brown, Joseph Brown, Nicholas Jarrett [also spelled Jarrat, and other variants] Mary Brown Jarrett [wife of Nicholas], Barham and Martha Wrenn to Jonathan Bailey. No witnesses."
