The Gabriel Brown I have did live at Brown's creek. It is believed that he married Mary Keen 10 Feb. 1730in St. George's Parrish, Baltimore Co, Maryland. It appears that they had a son also named Jacob. I believe that we are talking about the same family. Jacob and Gabriel BROWN, William LOVE and others settled along Brown's Creek, near the Broad River between 1750 and 1775. Some may have settled after the Revolution They seemed to be Scotch-Irish Presbyterians but other denominations used the Brown Creek Church. Does this connect in any way with the Gabriel and Jacob BROWN that you mentioned? I have no idea if they relate to my family or not but would like to check them out. > Thank you. > Pat > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: WAYNE BROWN <wbrown1926@msn.com> > To: Wayne D Brown <brown@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Sat, 18 Apr 2009 9:50 pm > Subject: Re: [BROWN] BROWN SC 1780-1790 to 1850 > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey, How far is Catawba Co.
